Great Wrap is made from compostable biopolymers and plant-based oils and is 100% compostable.[1] Currently, they manufacture Compostable Hand Pallet Wrap, Compostable Machine Pallet Wrap, and Compostable Nudie Rolls for home use.

History

[edit]

Great Wrap was founded in 2019 by Jordy and Julia Kay. Their goal is to end the human reliance on traditional plastics.[2] In 2021, Great Wrap was named one of the most innovative companies in the Asia Pacific.[3]

Products

[edit]

Great Wrap sells compostable cling wrap and pallet wrap made from compostable biopolymers and plant-based oils.[4] The wrap is certified compostable, meaning it will break down in a compost pile leaving no microplastics behind.[5] Great wrap is manufactured at the company's factory in Melbourne, Australia [6] and has the goal to become a fully circular business, with 100% of manufacturing completed in-house.[7]
